Nature Photography

David Ritz is a life-long photographer. His father was an avid amateur photographer who gave David an Argus 35 mm camera to use on a family vacation to Europe, where he learned how to how to set the exposure in the pre-digital, pre automatic everything era of photography.   On that trip he snapped endless churches and landscapes, and became hooked on photography when his father presented a slideshow of his work at his Rotary Club meeting.

David Ritz photographs illustrated a dozen travel books and appeared in Conde Nast magazines. Living in the Florida Keys has provided David Ritz with countless opportunities to photograph the natural state of one of the world’s most diverse and complex ecosystems.
