David Ritz is one of Florida’s most experienced public administrators, with nearly 40 years of service as a city and community manager, county planner, and public utility executive and board member. He possesses a deep knowledge and insider’s perspective on the Florida Keys, including its real-estate markets, making its communities among the most livable in the nation, and its unique ecology. Decades of experience in building and leading successful organizations have taught David Ritz what works and what doesn’t, and has afforded him the opportunity to become a highly accomplished public speaker.

David Ritz significant non-profit organization governance experience includes present roles as Board Member of the Monroe County Planning Commission and Florida Keys Electric Cooperative and a past member of the Florida Keys Aqueduct Authority.   He has served as Chairman of all three organizations. From 1995-2019 he was the President and CEO of the North Key Largo Utility Corporation, and was also a Board Member of the Baptist Health System Advisory Committee.  

David Ritz has a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from the University of Florida.  He is also a graduate of the Senior Executives in State and Local Government program at Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government.

David Ritz is a member of the following organizations:

Florida City/County Managers Association, International City Managers Association, Community Managers International Association, American Water Works Association, National Association of Realtors, Florida Association of Realtors, ASIS (International Security)

He also is a State of Florida licensed Community Association Manager (CAM), Realtor, Notary Public and has a Class D Security License. David Ritz is also a credentialed Electric Cooperative Board Member.
