The good news is, after a period of time they will send you your share of the profits via check or a credit to your electric bill.

In times of emergencies long-standing mutual aid agreements kick in and assistance from other co-ops in the network come to your aid. There are 17 Florida co-ops that pledged their support for their fellow Electric co-ops through mutual aid agreements. Over the last several years this mutual aid agreement has been utilized repeatedly.
